While Discord is the go-to for many crypto communities, Rally recognizes that most of our creators have established communities in other spaces across the internet. We have a few suggestions as to how creators can incorporate their token while managing communities on other platforms.

Facebook, LinkedIn, Slack: Private Groups

If you have private groups on Facebook, Slack, LinkedIn or elsewhere, an easy way to incorporate your token is by using token-gated file sharing. You can token-gate, or restrict access to, content pages using a service such as MintGate and then share the links directly in your private group. When users click the link, they are prompted to verify ownership of a quantity of social tokens or a specific NFT in order to view the content.

MintGate allows you to token-gate content such as Google Sheets, Imgur, Vimeo, Youtube, and more - full list of supported platforms here.

They can token-gate an unlisted video on Youtube using MintGate, setting a minimum amount of $COIN required to view the bonus content. From there, the creator can share the link anywhere on the web but only fans who hold the minimum amount of creator coin in their Rally wallet will be able to click into the bonus material.

Newsletters and Direct Mailing

Newsletters and email blasts allow a great deal of flexibility in terms of how to share content given that you have a direct line to your community via email.

As shared above, token-gating files or content is straightforward and simple to set up. Including token-gated content in your newsletters can provide incentive for folks who haven’t engaged with your token economy yet.

Using referral tools such as Seedr, fans provide their contact information and subscribe to updates or newsletters and receive tokens. A simple way to set this up without using an integration is by embedding a Google form in your website that collects email and Rally wallet ID or Rally username; once someone fills out the form, you can send the new subscriber tokens via Rally’s “Send” function as a thank-you for sharing their information.

You can also create an Airdrop link to share out in your newsletter when promoting new content (more on Airdrops in Module Three).
